Dear friends and family,
January still finds us in sunny Florida waiting for a good weather window to cross to Bahamas! Hurry up and wait is our new motto, along with about 20 other boats in the harbor waiting with us. We've been here for a week now, and looks like if we are lucky tomorrow might be the day.
The good news is that it is warm and sunny and we are with our good friends from home, Bob and Diane Deans. We are sharing meals, weather reports, trips to the beach and way too many trips to Publix, the southern grocery store version of Shaws. We will certainly be well stocked for the next few months! The other cruisers waiting to cross are of course very nice and very friendly. Many of them we had met before along the way in the ICW. We all got together yesterday at the dinghy dock and marched ourselves down A1A to the local pizza joint for a get together. We looked like a school field trip group...a geriatric version that is.
I'm sending of few photos of our time in Florida...hopefully my next post will be from a deserted Bahamian Island. Hope you all are well and having a good start to the new year!
Anne and Marc

| The ICW in Florida is crazy busy....this is mild compared to a recent Sunday trip from Port St. Lucie to Lake Worth! We'll never travel the ICW on a Sunday in Florida again! |
